Phil and Michelle married at the Koondrook wharf.
This was the first wedding we had shot at the Koondrook wharf, so we were pretty excited. Phil and Michelle are one of the couples that have travelled up from Melbourne to enjoy our nice rural setting by the Murray River.
Michelle was getting ready over in Barham when we went over to shoot the girls getting ready. When she was getting into the dress, the girls couldn’t quite work out the ribbon on the back of the dress. I heard a call of “get the photographer to do it, he would have seen it done…” and in I went.
I have shot a few weddings where Ben North was the caterer, this was the first time I have seen him with his Monaro used as a wedding car. It was a ripper of a car and really suited the couple. When I met with these guys, one of the photos Phil wanted was a break down photo. Its not often that the groom specifically wants a photo, so it just had to be done.
The ceremony down by the river was really nice. Some homemade decorations really added to the atmosphere, along with the home made flower petal confetti. When the bride arrived by monaro, Lokki Acoustic started playing one of the couples favourite songs whilst Michelle was walked down the aisle by her very proud father.
The reception was out on the Gunbower creek on board the Wetlander boat. So the couple and all of their friends spent the next few hours motoring slowly through the wetlands whilst listening to the very talented Lokki.
Congratulations guys, thanks for having us along.
